About Nerissa Irving:
Nerissa Irving has broken barriers and helped to bring Natural Hair beauty into mainstream media. The captivating photos she once posted on her MySpace caught the attention of Playboy photographers and helped launch her major modeling career. She was the first model with dreadlocks to appear in Playboy; posing in the 2008 Special Edition Playboy’s Natural Beauty, 2009 issue of Playboy’s Sexy 100 and 2009 Playboy Nudes edition. She acknowledges her Playboy shoot as where she found her true comfort with herself and talent for artistic nude modeling. Never taking No for an answer, Nerissa has amassed an impressive portfolio without having to conform to industry stereotypes. She has been published in 2010 Vibz Magazine, Sophisticates Black Hair June 2010 issue, eLife Magazine “Swimsuit Edition 2010, 2011 Red Stripe Calendar, Tribes Magazine, Afro Glitz magazine, Complexd Mag (Uk), WhereItzAt Mag march 2012, and Women Of The World photography book by Jarmo P. She was the spokesmodel for ‘Jamaican Mango and Lime’ hair care products and was featured on VH1’s T.V show ‘Beverly Hills Fabulous’. She is proud of her Caribbean/African background and still holds the title of Miss Millennium Queen of the Caribbean in Ethiopia.
Nerissa’s ever-growing empire now also includes owning the vegan beauty line “Nerissa Nefeteri Organics”, publishing a tantalizing 2013 calendar spread and starring in a popular YouTube channel video blog. In her video blogs, Nerissa talks about everything from exercises to improve one’s sex life to the value of proper hygiene. Her relatable and easygoing nature sets the tone of her videos making somewhat awkward topics humorous and easier to tolerate while still remaining informative.
